I got mine with DK64 - didn't seem to add anything to the price of the game, so for all intents and purposes, I got my expansion pack for free. That could have been placed on the motherboard for what, Look how they charged gamers $25 or $30 for the Nintendo is not customer friendly company, just taking notice of the different reactions to the same situation: price gouging. One thing I did notice: how many posts do you see here on AA where someone complains about paying "$3.95 shipping for a single game cart!! " from eBay when it costs the seller $1 to ship, yet $15 for a replacement disk from Nintendo gets a "its their right" or "I'm just glad its available" sort of reaction Especially when they sell a demo disk for $9.95 Sending $5 and your damaged disk for replacement gives more good customer reaction than gouging them for $15 does.
I just think Nintendo could be a little more customer friendly by charging a price more in line with the product. Things do happen wait until most of you have Rug Rat's of your own, you'll find out what "I didn't touch it, Daddy" damage is.įrom my experience, most computer companies charge you little more than the cost of shipping to get a replacement disk. Since I've never lost any game disk, that shouldn't be a problem and I seriously doubt ANY company would replace a lost disk anyway. Just my opinion but I think $15 for a replacement disk is out of line.
